P R O L O G U E
The Promised Land is a land of true happiness, which is only
accessible by Ancients. Recently, a mystical organism by the
name of Jenova has been discovered and is being identified as
an "Ancient" by Professor Gast. However, it turn out
that Jenova is actually a "crisis from the sky"...
Shinra Inc., a worldwide organization is drained "life"
energy from the Mother Earth and the energy obtained is known
as 'Mako'. According to legends, when Mako froze it will form
Materia which is a common item used by magicians in this world.
The more 'Mako' energy is being drained, the weaker the planet
will become. A rebellion force called AVALANCHE lead by Barret
Wallace attempts to stop Shinra from further harming the Planeta
by destroying the Mako Reactors found all over the world.
You will embarked this journey as a mercenary named Cloud Strife,
who is former an EX-SOLDIER (the elite military of Shinra Inc.)
Throughout this epic journey, Cloud encounter his arch rival,
Sephiroth and the link of his mysterious past. Cloud joins the
rebellion group as selfish mercenary, but becomes much more
involved in this mysterious epic of friendship, love and the
battle between good and evil.
