weapon cannot be upgraded. Edea is playable for certain parts

I C E S T R I K E
Execution
of Limit Breaks.
Limit Breaks are a set of skills used when the character is
facing crisis. It would normally happened when they are hit
consecutively by an enemy or hit points are running low, you
can tap the
[Menu] and you will find a blinking triangle appear on the
right hand side of the attack. When you see this, hit
and you will reveal the character's Limit Breaks. Every characters
have a different set of Limit Breaks. Normally the lower the
character's HP is, the higher the chances that your character
will be able to execute the Limit Break.
About Ice Strike
Like the dream party, Edea has only one Limit Break - Ice
Strike. Edea summons the cold blizzard ice crystals forming
three spear-like structures and strike at one target for heavy
ice-elemental damage.
