These pages feature the list of key characters in Final Fantasy
VIII. In Final Fantasy VIII, there are three groups of organization
- SeeD (Garden); Galbadia and Esthar. The game features a
diversified cast of characters and every character has their
own personality and abilities. The 5 key members - Squall,
Zell, Quistis, Selphie and Irvine are SeeD cadets trained
in the Garden. Rinoa Heartilly is the leader of a rebellion
group - Forest Owls, which seeks independence for Timber.
Seifer and Edea are only playable at certain parts of the
time.
Dream Sequences
Final Fantasy VIII has an unique feature. This feature allows
your characters to be transported back into time where your
characters get know more about a past of a mysterious group.
The person is a journalist and formerly a Galbadia Soldier.
There are a total of 6 six such dreams.

Profile
The profile includes the character's statistics such as their
height and age along with their blood type.
Background
This features a short summary on the character's background.
Weapons
In Final Fantasy VIII, weapons aren't interchangeable among
playable characters as the character use his/her own set of
weapons. More powerful weapons require you to get parts. These
parts can be gotten from defeating and/or stealing from enemies.
You can choose to refine them via item refinement menus. Once
you gotten the materials, proceed to upgrade shops, which
can located inside towns /cities. To obtain information on

Limit Breaks
Each character has an extreme set of attacks known as Limit
Breaks, which is available when the character is in danger.
When the character will be able to execute his/her Limit Breaks,
you will find a cursor appearing on the character. Every playable
character starts off with 1 Limit Break. Only Squall, Quistis,
Zell, Selphie, Rinoa and Irvine can upgrade their Limit Breaks.
New Limit Breaks can be obtained by acquiring new items, equipment
or learn it from the battles itself.
Cards
Card is a popular game among the citizens/townsfolk in Final
Fantasy VIII. There is a featured set of cards for every playable
characters in the game. The method to obtain, along with the
card statistics and refinement status are listed promptly
under the character's profile.
