About the Junction Tutorial
This five page junction guide is created exclusively for The Round Island. It involves my personal experience in using the Junction System of Final Fantasy VIII. No part of this guide shall be reproduced on else without the author's consent.

Requirements
The Junction tab will be selectable after you have found your first two GFs - Quezacotl and Shiva before you exit from B-Garden for the field test at the start
        the game.

[Step 5] - Infuse Status Magic for Status junction attributes
Status elementals are often look down due to the fact they only weaken enemies but they could kill the enemies off. However in Final Fantasy VIII, you can use them to your advantage thoroughly. A great example is the Malboro, which is actually a weak monster has become one of the game's toughest enemy's thanks to its status ailment affecting atatck - Bad Breath.

In Final Fantasy VIII, there are also no accessory or armor. Therefore status junction is an important as they will best solution that will be replacing them. There is a character ability that protect against all status except for death - Ribbon. This ability can be gotten via the Choco World only.

Status Magic can be more efficiently utilize using junction that casting it. Pain is the only status magic that could cause multiple status ailments.
Explanation
Status Attack allows you to include a status ailment when your character attack with the [Attack] command. Status defense allows protection of 1 ~ 4 status spells. Status Attack is represented with icon while Status Defense is represented with icon. These abilities are commonly found under the following GFs such as Siren, Carbuncle, Cerberus and Doomtrain.

The more status magic is being junction, the higher probability of the character causing status ailment as he strikes at the target. For example if you junction 100x Sleep to Squall's ST-Atk-J, Squall will attack and has 100% chances of inflicting the status ailments. Some of the monsters are immune against status ailments. You can only cause one status ailment at one time.

Status Defense works quite similar to Elemental Defense. To be extremely effect, you must 100x of the status magic. If you junction 100x Sleep to ST-Def-J, there is 0% chance that Squall will fall under the Sleep status.

The steps are listed below:
1) Do Step 3.
2) Push on the D-Pad twice.
3) You will find the status attributes chart moving over the elemental attributes chart.
4) Select an empty slot. Please take note of the icon next to the spell.
5) Select a spell from the character's magic inventory. Hit to junction.
* The mechanics works in the same way for both status attack or status defense junctions.
